Apopka is blessed with an abundance of options when it comes to churches.
The region has an array of congregations large and small, long-established and fledgling, denominationally affiliated and independent, contemporary and traditional.
Since we are all looking for different things when it comes to a church family, such variety means there is a good chance there is a nearby congregation that meets the unique needs of each. The challenge is to find it.
If you have not yet found a spiritual home that suits you, we invite you to consult Graceworx Community Church. We meet for study at 10 a.m. and for worship at 11:30 a.m. each Saturday morning at St Andrews Presbyterian Church, 9913 Bear Lake Road, Apopka, FL 32703.
graceworx was founded by a group of people who believe that a congregation should refresh the spirit, stimulate the spirit, provide strong internal fellowship and work tirelessly with other congregations and civic organizations for the betterment of our local community .
Jesus said he came that humans “have life and have it abundantly” (John 10:10). That’s what graceworx is all about. We want everyone to know the loving, caring, forgiving, and grace-exuding Creator and Redeemer God of the Bible. And we seek to be a zone of discovery and a center of support for those seeking a more purposeful, balanced and fulfilling life.
The Living Bible’s paraphrase of Romans 5:1-2 sums up both the “Grace” and the “worx” from which we derive our name. “So now, since we have been made righteous in the sight of God by faith in his promises, we can have real peace with him because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. For because of our faith he has brought us into this place of highest privilege where we now stand, and we can with confidence and joy hope to really become all that God intended us to be.
graceworx is not a club for saints. It is a fellowship for those who understand their own brokenness and recognize their own ongoing struggles, but who desire to live fully what God wants for the human family.
Pastor Jim Coffin — who has served as a youth pastor, senior pastor, church magazine editor, church outreach consultant, and currently executive director of the Interfaith Council of Central Florida — presents the sermon most weeks.
We invite those looking for a church family—and those who simply want to get acquainted with another congregation in the Apopka community—to stop in for a visit anytime. We hope you will be blessed with fellowship, music, scripture readings, prayers and Bible study. See how ancient scriptures still speak powerfully and relevantly to life today.
Again, services are held every Saturday morning. We hope to see you soon. You can contact us at [email protected] or at 321-228-4599.
