Smart’s digital catechism project is an extension of its digital tourism program, which is part of the company’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives to create a #BestWorld for all Filipinos.

Launched in 2012, the program highlights the use of mobile technology to provide cultural, historical and travel data to smartphone users. This involves the creation of apps, mobile guides and interactive media that easily provide tourists and locals with comprehensive and localized information about a destination, thereby equipping travelers with their own virtual tour guides or travel companions.

In addition to the awards of excellence and merit for Smart’s digital catechism efforts, the wireless branch and its parent company, PLDT Inc. (PLDT), have achieved 59 group-wide victories, including those of the company. of the year and the 1st finalist.
