A Bible study for anyone interested in better understanding the word of God will meet on Wednesdays in the basement of the Ogden Memorial United Methodist Church, located at 305 W. Main Street in Princeton.
The program will study the first six chapters of the Gospel of John using inductive study materials from Precept Ministries.
The disciple John wrote this eyewitness account of Jesus so people could believe that Jesus is the Son of God. The Gospel of John is a perfect place to begin an in-depth study of the Bible.
This 10-week John study will begin September 7, with the option of a morning class meeting from 9-11:30 a.m. or an evening class meeting from 5:30-7 p.m. The homework discussion will be led by Susan Travis for both. hours of classes, and only the morning class will include a DVD lecture by Kay Arthur to help unlock the message of God’s Word.
The Precept Ministries inductive Bible study method is used in the United States and in more than 150 countries by people seeking to know the truths of God’s Word for themselves. Their extensive studies are widely recognized for their practical and personal approach to Bible study.
There are two options for workbooks for this class: Precept Upon Precept, with about five hours of homework per week for $25, or In & Out, with an hour and a half of weekly study for $20. Please call Betty at the Ogden church office at 270-365-3528 by noon Wednesday, August 24 to order a notebook.
