Marjorie Taylor Greene Is Crazy The Catholic Church Helps Migrants

The American right has long aligned itself with the teachings of Jesus Christ, a figure who preached helping the poor and dispensing with material possessions. But their words and actions often suggest that they never quite reached the New Testament. Take Marjorie Taylor Greene. The controversial lawmaker, who had to be educated about the Holocaust well into middle age, recently spoke out against [checks notes]the Catholic Church for [checks notes]help those in need.

According to Mediated, Greene, who was recently caught embellishing the truth as she took the oath by laying her hand on a Bible, gave an interview to the right-wing Christian organization Church Militant. Greene used his time to take aim at one of the biggest wings of the Christian faith, saying “Satan controls the Church”.

And what does Lucifer make the Church do? Help migrants and refugees struggling to protect themselves from oppression and violence.

“The church is not doing its job, and it is not adhering to the teachings of Christ, and it is not adhering to what the word of God says we are supposed to do and how we are supposed to live,” said Greene.

“What they’re doing saying, ‘Oh, we have to love these people and take care of these migrants and love each other,'” she said mockingly. “Yes, we’re supposed to love each other, but their definition of what it means to love each other means destroying our laws. It means completely perverting what our Constitution says. It means taking an unreal benefit from the American taxpayer. And that means pushing a globalist policy on the American people and forcing America to become something we’re not meant to be.

Yes, in addition to smearing the entire Catholic Church, Greene also dropped the term “globalists,” which has well-known anti-Semitic roots.

Greene’s words made her an unlikely foe: Bill Donahue, president of the Catholic League, who usually goes after Hollywood movies, like by Kevin Smith Dogma and 2007 The golden compass, for alleged anti-Catholic sentiments. But this time, Donahue lashed out at a fellow conservative, who he said “slandered the entire Catholic Church.”

“Satan controls the Catholic Church? She must apologize to the Catholics immediately. She is a disgrace,” Donahue said in a statement to Mediaite. “We are contacting House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy about this. He has a loose cannon on his hands.

Then again, McCarthy isn’t very good at reigning over party members who have made messy statements, so good luck with that.
