Four Themes from the Parables of Jesus – Sheffield Cathedral

0

Join Reverend Captain Ian Maher, Minor Canon of Sheffield Cathedral, and explore Jesus the Storyteller.

Playful, thought-provoking, and disruptive to what we thought we knew about God, the world, and ourselves, the parables reveal Jesus as a storyteller who could conjure up alternate worlds and as a conjurer to the imagination who asked more questions than he made no statements. and wove more stories than he gave commandments.

The studies will be drawn from the book entitled The parables by Paula Gooder (Canterbury Press, 2020). Although the book is highly recommended and available from the Cathedral gift shop, it is not required to participate in the series.
