Cabinet members meet for weekly Bible study

Members of President Donald Trump’s cabinet attend a weekly Bible study, according to a new report.

CBN News reported that once a week, a dozen cabinet members meet to study the scriptures. Among those who attend regularly: Education Secretary Betsy DeVos, Agriculture Secretary Sunny Perdue, Energy Secretary Rick Perry, CIA Director Mike Pompeo and Attorney General Jeff Sessions.

“This is the best Bible study I have ever taught in my life,” Ralph Drollinger of Capitol Ministries told CBN News. “They are so teachable, they are so noble, they are so learned.”

According to the Capitol Ministries website, White House Ministry sponsors include regular attendees, as well as Vice President Mike Pence, House and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson and EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt.

“Mike Pence has respect for the office,” Drollinger said. “He dresses well – as it is said that Joseph washed himself before going to present himself before Pharaoh.”

Pence plans to join the study as his schedule allows. In addition, Trump is invited to weekly studies and receives teachings from Drollinger.

Drollinger founded Capitol Ministries in 1996. Since then he has started Bible studies in state capitals, foreign capitals, and does weekly studies with members of the House and Senate.

“Making disciples of Jesus Christ in the political arena in the United States of America and in foreign capitals around the world has been the mission of Capitol Ministries since our inception,” the site reads. “Like Paul, we follow God’s command to reach out to the leaders of our troubled world, for only through obedience to God is true hope and change possible.”

Drollinger noted that Sessions will apply what he learns from Bible study to his work.

“He’s going out the same day that I teach him something and see him do it on camera and I’m just like, ‘Wow, these guys are faithful, available and teachable, and they study the Bible every week, they’re’ in. city, ”he said.
